Attia Hamouda (born 1914) was a Lightweight (60-67.5 kg) on the Egyptian weightlifting team at the Summer Olympics of 1948 in London. He scored a Silver medal for Egypt after lifting a record of 360 kg. He lost behind his team mate Ibrahim Shams who lifted the same weight but was lighter. This was the second time that Egypt accumulates 5 medals after doing so back in 1936 Berlin for the first time.
